Some websites and apps limit functionality on mobile devices, often due to the restrictive nature of the device’s smaller screen. This tutorial will walk you through placing your Chrome browser into desktop view mode and will allow you to access features typically reserved for larger screens.

iOS

Android

  1. Open the Chrome Browser app and touch the menu in the upper right corner.

  2. Scroll down to locate the “Desktop site” check box and touch it to enable the desktop view mode.

  3. Once you have desktop mode enabled, if you are on a Facebook page, you’ll notice that the web address starts with “m” instead of “www”, this indicates you are on the mobile version of Facebook. Edit the web address, changing the “m” to “www” in order to view the desktop version.
